Assembly techniques

The assembly of small medical microtechnical parts is similar to the work involved in clock and watch making.
Statice Santé has excelled in this field for many years.

The metal parts: stainless steel, titanium, precious metals can be assembled by:
- clamping (forced fit)
- riveting, screwing,
- clipping,
- snap riveting,
- crimping,
- laser welding,
- plasma welding,
- brazing,
- gluing (UV, epoxy…)

The thermoplastics parts can be assembled by:
- clipping,
- gluing (solvent, epoxy, UV)
- thermowelding
- ultrasonic welding
- overmoulding
- riveting, screwing.

The thermosetting parts (silicone, for example) can be assembled by:
- cold gluing (RTV)
- hot gluing (HTV)
- plasma gluing
- overmoulding.

The parts are assembled in a controlled atmosphere:
Clean room, class 10 000 and 100 000.
Under laminar flow, class 100.

The checking of these assemblies is specific to each type of part. The test criteria are defined with the customer in compliance with current standards.
