INNOVATIVE COLLAGEN

During Biosquare in Lyon (April 13th), STATICE Santé has identified BIOM'UP company from Biomaterial Laboratory of Pharmacology University of Lyon. This company is specialized in innovative collagen. Collagen is a biological polymer particularly used in the medical device area thanks to its unique properties such as : - bioactivity (healing) - biocompatibility, - controlled resorption (fast or slow). BIOM'UP develops and produces collagen adjusted to an application : - supply of collagen (porcine origin for a better health security) - specific and adapted forms implementation (sponges, films, gel, coating...) - collagen functionnalisation for new properties (chemical modification, transplantation).

THERMOPLASTIC PROTOTYPING

To improve development services in new thermoplastic devices, STATICE Santé has acquired a prototype injection moulding machine. Small moulds (= 80 x 60 (d) x 80 mm (H)) allows us to make small plastic parts at low cost (injectable volume 10cc). All USP class VI medical grade thermoplastics can be transformed (Pehd, Pebd, PUR, PC, PSU, Peek, PUC, PA...). Thanks to this equipment, STATICE Santé is able to produce injected parts identical to the production parts from the prototyping stage.

MOULDING IN SMALL AND MEDIUM RUNS

In order to be able to offer its customers competitive tooling prices, Statice Santé has invested in a thermoplastic injection die-casting block with removable mould cavities. The customer benefits from a substantial price reduction on its tooling as it only needs to invest in the cavity of the mould it owns. This tooling capacity allows all thermoplastics to be moulded and overmouldedin blocks measuring 200 x 150 x 50mm. Depending on the lifespan required, these cavities will be made with Forthal, Steel 110 kg 40CMD8 + S, hardened steel 52 HRC Z38C DV5.
